Are you experiencing difficulties due to your substance use? You are not alone! There are resources that can help–you just need to reach out.

In an emergency, especially a possible overdose, please call 911.

You can save a life! Natick observes the Good Samaritan Law, which provides immunity from prosecution for possession of a controlled substance if a person seeks medical assistance for someone experiencing a drug-related overdose (see M.G.L. ch.94c §34a). Additionally, the Natick Police and Fire Departments are committed to assisting community members who experience mental health and substance use disorders get the help that they need. First responders are here to help, so don’t be afraid to call in an emergency.

The following resources are available to help 24/7, 365 days a year.

  • Psychiatric Emergency Services (PES)

    is a mental health crisis team provided by Advocates, a MetroWest behavioral health treatment provider. If you are experiencing a mental health or emotional crisis, call 1-800-640-5432 for help.

  • Crisis Text Line

    (in partnership with its local affiliate Call2Talk Line) is a texting service staffed by trained crisis counselors who can help you if you are experiencing an emotionally overwhelming situation. Just text C2T to 741741 to begin a free, confidential conversation with a trained crisis counselor via text. You can also call Call2Talk directly at 508-532-2255.

  • Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) National Helpline

    SAMHSA’s National Helpline is a free and confidential treatment referral and information service (in English and Spanish) for individuals and families facing mental and/or substance use disorders. Call 800-662-HELP (4357).
