Natick in the News

Natick is one of four communities in Massachusetts that are offering free Narcan kits to residents. This effort was recently highlighted on CBS Boston. The Natick Health Department is taking steps to get the overdose reversal drug Narcan into more hands by offering free kits to residents free of charge. This $40,000 pilot program is making it easier for residents to help in an event of an overdose.

“We have to keep them alive,” said Natick Public Health Director Jim White. “No matter how much it takes; no matter how long it takes.”

Anyone who is at high risk of witnessing or experiencing an overdose – whether you are in recovery, are actively using opioids, or are the family member of someone with a history of opioid addiction – can obtain a free Narcan dose and training at:

  • Natick Health Department – Monthly Addiction Resource Center workshops
